Chases You

When it chases you, it is different.  When it runs you down and you are on the ground exhausted, you will have nothing to fight back with.

Facing our pain and our patterns when we choose to face them is a crucial step.  Facing things on our terms, when we feel ready, can give us that necessary experience of empowerment. Healing happens.  But there is more.

Without fail, I have witnessed that the deepest shifting strikes us when we are not ready…for approaching our pain with the intent to conquer also requires a type of armor to be worn.  Even if vulnerability accompanies us…we bring it because we consciously know that we need to have it, in order to overcome and grow.

What I am speaking to is when vulnerability is not present through our choosing.  I am speaking about the discovery of vulnerability, as myriad hurts and agonies from our past come calling, exposing for us, how much is still seeking light.   At that point, vulnerability becomes a naturally occurring state.  And choice is removed from the healing equation.  And it is in that poignant state that deepest love can happen.  When the mind is not even a player, behold…the healing game ends.  No more running towards, nor running from is required for peace to grip your heart.

When all your devoted servants who you have grappled with all your life long show themselves, and chase you until you can run no more, only then perhaps, will you sit still long enough to listen to what they have been trying to tell you all along.

When it chases you, you won’t be ready…which is why it will go so very deep.
