Poem: Long Flight

Mornin’ ain’t never goin’ hold you
s’long as that night.

Darkness goin’ roll you over
til ya comes out light.

Got’s to do a whole lotta wrong
before you’ll love doin’ right.

Gotta love it all up
to make the long long flight.

Can’t learn us ’bout Love when it’s easy,
when there ain’t no bite.
But there in the darkness,
…shoot…
we just might.

Mornin’ ain’t never goin’ hold you,
s’long as that night.

See that far meadow?
Child—you’ll make it alright.

Set yo’self down easy
n’ take in the pretty sight.

We all here together
fightin’ this fight.
